You might not have seen Miss Bianca LaVerne Jones’ work yet, but you will. With directional influences from Woodie King, Jr. (New Federal Theatre), John Gould Rubin (Loft 21/21), Michael Garces (Yale Rep), Lee Rose (Warner Brothers), and Alfred Preisser (Classical Theatre of Harlem) just to name a few, the beautiful brown skin 31-year-old actress is a performance force to be reckoned with and just may as well be America’s next most watched television actress.
A Raleigh, North Carolina native received her professional training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Winston-Salem, NC (Diploma), SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory, White Plains, NY (BFA), and Yale School of Drama. Her career as an actress started early as a young adult performing in the National Black Theatre Festival (NBTF) under the direction of her father Herman LeVern Jones (TheatreSouth Atlanta, Inc.). Since then, Miss Jones has been in 4 major OFF BROADWAY productions (Touring North America and Europe), 19 REGIONAL THEATRE productions (Viewing throughout North America), and 9 FILM/TV/WEB SERIES (Featuring companies ABC, BET, Warner Brothers). Bianca’s hard work paid off when she was given the full opportunity to play the lead (Monica) on B.E.T.’s Film “BURNED” directed by Phyllis Toben Bancroft (Phyllite Productions) B.E.T.’s Lens on Talent Winner.
Fast forwarding to present Bianca LaVerne Jones big debut for “BURNED” will release this Fall 2011 on October 2, 2011 at 11pm (EST) B.E.T. and October 6, 2011 at 11:30am (EST) Centric.
